Ohau’s practice draws on personal experience, everyday observation, and chance encounters. Through humour, displacement, and associative logic, he stages situations across video, installation, and participatory works that invite viewers to reconsider how power, memory, embodiment, and collective behaviour are constructed within social systems.
Mimosa Series begins with the artist’s experience of how herbal grass tea works on the body. Through soft, plant-like forms combined with fabric, stuffing, sound, and vibration, the work creates situations that require viewers to touch, lean on, embrace, and listen. Through the scale, texture, and shape of the works, it quietly changes how people interact with them, making the experience a very personal and bodily one.
