Sean Wang is a photo-conceptual artist born in Taipei, Taiwan. As a visually impaired photographer, his work delves into the construction of vision, exploring the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, and between art and non-art. In recent years, his work has focused on post-conceptual photography, institutional critique, and common technology.
DJC Image is a photo-generation project by artist Sean Wang for visitors who feel their profile pictures aren’t distinctive enough but don’t want to look too different from everyone else. The DJC photo generator transforms familiar images into a uniform visual style of high contrast and coarse grain. Visitors can choose a photo of themselves and upload it to a public Instagram account. There, everyone can be differently the same.
