Taipei Sports Linedance Association was introduced to line dancing in Taiwan in 2000 by its founding chairman, Mr. Tsai Chen-Kuang, who discovered that line dancing was widely enjoyed by local communities in Canada for its graceful movements and accessibility. He began training instructors while actively establishing local groups across the country. Guided by the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy a healthy and active life, the association has devoted nineteen years to promoting line dancing throughout Taiwan and now has the largest number of line dance teams in the country.
Qingguang Nights Ballroom comes alive every evening at eight, when neighborhood residents gather at Qingguang Park to line dance. Moving to lively music in a wide range of styles, they bring energy and vitality to the park. Through line dancing, they express the strong bonds and vibrant spirit of the community while embodying a continued passion for learning and the arts. Their dancing brings warmth, color, and life to the night.
