Lien-Yin Wu was born in 1994, graduated with a Master’s degree in Arts and Design from National Tsing Hua University, and currently creates art and lives in Tainan. He enjoys capturing the often overlooked details of life through sculpture and installation, focusing on encounters that spark his imagination. His works are usually a collection of ideas that reflect the experiences of life in the present moment, often inspired by these encounters.
Trailhead transforms the artist’s body into a parabola as he flies, bounces, drifts downstream, dives, wanders, and comes to rest. He becomes the wings of a bird, the leap of a frog, plunging into the river and rushing down waterfalls. He is the swaying grass and falling fruit, slowly coming to a stop and accumulating into moss. He is the wind blowing from the mountain ridge toward the valley, eventually rolling back to his feet. He picks himself up and once again casts himself into the mountains.
