視覺作品|VISUAL ART

Mei-Chi Wu was born in Tainan, Taiwan, in 1989. She is an artist based in Taipei. Her practice explores how images transform through photography, collage, and constructed scenes. Beginning with carefully staged still-life photography, her practice has gradually expanded to include cutting, collage, and re-photography. Drawn to the colours, forms, and surfaces of collected objects, she constructs new visual and spatial relationships. Her work has been presented internationally at Huis Marseille, Amsterdam; Jimei x Arles International Photo Festival; and DECK, Singapore. Her work has also been featured in Photoworks Annual and WIRED.

搬動森林
MOVING THE FOREST

Moving the Forest draws from Taiwan’s natural environment, with images of birds, plants, and landscapes cropped and collaged onto rotatable cubes. By turning and rearranging them, viewers continuously reshape the relationships between species and their habitats, shifting between recognition, misrecognition, and imagination.
